The Legacy
All of these artist have impacted Barcelona's culture in their own individual way. They assisted in making Spain the fourth most visited country in the world. Although some of these works of arts aren't as noticeable as others, they are still an important part of Barcelona's culture. Take Miro's Mural's for example, many people pass by them, even walk on them everyday and never know that they are walking on precious, valuable art work. Then he has huge statuses like the one at Parc Joan Miro, Woman and Bird, which is five feet tall and depending on the person, can either be interpreted as a woman or a bird. Salvador Dali, I believe was one of the most influential. His art work can be found all over the city. Antoni Gaudi designed many of the buildings you would see not only in Barcelona, but many other places in Spain. He was the one to design and start building the Sagrada Familia. Pablo Picasso co- founded art movements all across Spain. Because of these men, and many more, Barcelona is now a melting pot of artistic cultures, and one of the art capitals of the world.
